Technology Park Adelaide plays a key role in South Australia’s economy, achieving employment growth and fostering business success by creating an environment suitable for attracting investment.
Advances in telecommunications and transportation mean that businesses working in the new economy can now be located just about anywhere.
But given today’s companies are concerned with the skills, innovation and energy of their people, they are still attracted to locating in stable communities that offer a healthy, well-educated, innovative, creative, adaptable and contented workforce.
Technology Park Adelaide offers all these things.
My Government wants to promote investment in skills development, technology, innovation and research in order to drive the development of the northern region and the South Australian economy. Technology Park Adelaide and the Mawson Lakes Economic Development – along with the nearby campus of the University of South Australia – work closely together to achieve this goal.
Technology Park is all about innovation and the development of a smart, high-tech business community. The Park provides a world-class location and environment for businesses and their employees, where innovative enterprises can grow with the assistance of nearby research institutions.
Technology Park is important for South Australia. It provides essential support for new and start-up firms to commercialise new ideas and to grow through industry incubators and industry mentoring.
My Government considers investment in technology-related business as essential to our State’s economic future. In this regard, we will continue to provide the necessary infrastructure to encourage industry networking, clustering and business incubation as part of our commitment to securing long-term economic growth in South Australia.
Technology Park, in this respect, is the jewel in the crown.
