KEE offers precision farmers new solution
David East

Adelaide-based KEE Technologies has released its new Zynx X20 multi-functional console as the next generation of complete precision agriculture systems.

Reportedly the most robust, powerful and flexible precision farming solution available, the Zynx X20 will give users automatic steering, satellite guidance, up to five bin/tank one-pass variable rate seeding applications - including granular, liquid and NH3 control, up to 30 auto boom section sprayer control, fertiliser spreading and harvester control and monitoring, all in one unit.

Speaking at the launch, KEE chief executive Les Mann said the Zynx X20 was the next step for the company following the unprecedented success of its initial Zynx range of precision farming tools.

"Today we are releasing the next generation Zynx solution that will give users a complete farming solution all from a single ruggedly built, Windows base XP cabin console that supports the industry standard ISO11783 Canbus" he said

"The new X20 has a fantastic super-bright touch-screen that has a screen area that is 70 per cent larger than the X10 and X15, while the actual high impact enclosure is about the same size.

"Farmers wanted a larger screen and a more powerful system - and we have also given them that."

Mr Mann said the company's customers, who were some of the most advanced and cost-efficient farmers in the world, wanted a system capable of handling 30 section auto-boom shutoff and five layer variable rate mapping with elevation maps and the flexibility to add more and more features.

He said the X20 was supplied standard with a Windows XP Professional Operating System that provided the extra flexibility to add other applications such as wireless networking with other X20 units along with digital devices and IT systems that are constantly being demanded by progressive farmers and by the company’s more progressive OEM and agribusiness customers.

“The real time connection of the in-vehicle console, with other digital systems, and/or access through the internet, allows for real time monitoring and control,” Mr Mann said.

“This connectivity will allow real improvements to the efficient operations of most farming operations.”

KEE global marketing manager Graham Kennelly said there was nothing on the market that could match the Zynx X20 for true multi-tasking.

“Being able to start with a simple screen based manual guidance system and be able to progressively add applications – without cluttering up the cab -  is a real bonus,” he said.

“Farmers have tol dus that with guidance plus auto-steer, variable rate application and mapping, it is saving them between 20-30pc on fertiliser and chemicals as well as more than 10pc on fuel costs.”

KEE has its head office and manufacturing facility at Technology Park in Adelaide and an office with warehouse, service and support facilities in Aidvale, Western Australia.

The company has more than 70 dealers throughout the major farming regions of Australia as well as established partnerships with many of Australia’s leading manufacturers of farm machinery.
